In the last few years there has been a positive shift in the attention to physical fitness. Social media, access to exercise videos/instruction, nutrition information on the web etc. have done their part in driving the movement. However an often overlooked and perhaps uncomfortable aspect of our well-being that is of no less importance is our mental well-being. There are resources in place in the form of institutions, help lines, programs, and some grass-root level efforts however the reluctance to access these resources either for fear of stigmatization, shame, or lack of awareness is a major barrier. This has to change.
